Background: Tsukai has always been the quiet type and a good reason behind being so. His past never allowed him to talk much, so he is quiet and reserved. This is mainly because of his past and his childhood. Because of his inability to speak more than just a few words, he was constantly picked on by his classmates. This caused him to stop going to school and staying at home. As far as his schooling went, he went to outside sources and found ways to educate himself. But home wasn't a place he didn't want to return to, and most of the time, Tsukai didn't. His father he never knew of and his mother...

His mother used to abuse him when he was younger. Tsukai’s long hair over one eye had something to do with his abuse he dealt with in his past, but no one seemed to know how or why it’s connected. To get away from the horrible household, he ran away from home on several occasions, only surviving on what he could. Until one day at the age of eleven, he was caught stealing food from the local store and upon leaving, ran into Shuuji Ikutsuki, the Chairman of S.E.E.S., Feeling the power of a persona inside of him, the Chairman took responsibility for the young boy’s actions and paid for what he stole. And in doing so, took the boy under his wing and let him living in the dorm.

Tsukai turned against the Chairman during his time at S.E.E.S. The Chairman lied to him about not having a persona and not having a sister. During one of the turnabouts, the Chairman that one of his assistants', fayt, was his sister; someone who had searched for, but then stopped, coming to the conclusion she was dead. That night, he and his sister assumed to have killed the Chairman or if one could see it, the Chairman killed himself before they could.

After the overcoming of Nyx, Tsukai left the Iwatodai location. Where he went, he never disclosed, but from time to time, he and fayt would meet up. Nothing could break the bond the two have.

He looks a lot different than he did back then. Before, his hair covered the eye he was never comfortable with showing. But now, his hair is pulled back, a couple of strands coming forward, and his hair is about shoulder length. Still, he has a connection with his music and never stops listening to it. At least that might about him hasn't changed. And now, he talks a bit more, but still shys away from new interaction, but to someone like fayt or Rion, he can talk to them freely, not holding himself back.

Personality: Tsukai is the silent type and very introverted around people he doesn't know. He's aware of the things that go on around him even though it may seem like he doesn't. His distant in social settings and keeps to himself almost all the time. He has always been used to being alone and somehow he prefers it that way since he thinks no one will be able to understand him. Also, he is very smart, but no one will ever know because he never speaks of it

And because of his mysterious nature, people of all types are drawn to him, even though he shys away easily.
